Welcome to our program! The navigation bar to the left will help you find information on everything there is to know about our program. “Practice Info” will have our weekly practice schedule and workouts. These are updated weekly on Sundays with two weeks notice in advance. The “Results” tab is a record of race results and meet recaps. The “Schedule” tab will have our racing schedule for the season Frequently asked questions and information on physicals can be found below.

Parents will need to create a Dragonfly account for their students and submit the requested documents . This must be done before participating in any practices.

Below you will find a list of frequently asked questions about our program. Please read these before emailing Coach Kyle— your question may have an answer posted below. Any questions or concerns not covered in these pages can be answered by reaching out to Coach Kyle by using the “Contact” tab.

  • Q- When will XC Start up again?

    • A- The first official day of practice will be Monday, August 12th 6:30 am at La Cueva High. We will meet by the main entrance along Wilshire.

  • Q- When will practice be once school starts?

    • A- We will continue morning practices until Monday, September 2nd (labor day). After Labor Day weekend we will begin practicing in the afternoons.

  • Q- Do I need a physical before participating in practice?

    • A- After August 12th— yes

  • Q- Was the Summer Conditioning Sessions mandatory?

    • A- No, they are not mandatory and we encourage students to come out to join us if they are interested in joining our team!

  • Q- What time will practice end?

    • A- We are planning on continuing morning practices once school starts. We plan to be done by 8:00 am When we switch to afternoon practice we will be done by 6:00 pm.

  • Q- Do I need running experience to join XC?

    • A- Nope! While prior running experience is helpful, we take runners of all ability and experience levels.

  • Q- What is practice like? Do we just… run?

    • A- Well, naturally running is part of what we do, a large part, but we also work on conditioning, strengthening and workouts that build speed and endurance.

  • Q- When is the last day to join XC?

    • A- To make sure you are fit and can compete safely, the last day to join will be Friday, September 6th .

  • Q- When are booster fees due and how much are they?

    • A- There is a $250 booster fee. The cost breakdown can be found in the “Booster Club” tab. These fees will be collected Thursday, August 15th at our parent meeting.

  • Q- If I play another sport and get cut or no longer wish to participate in that sport can I join cross country?

    • A- Sure, we are willing to work with other coaches on a schedule for our multisport athletes and are more than happy to accept any athletes looking to make a change in sports.
